Cheryl Tiegs

Cheryl Tiegs (born September 25, 1947) is an American model, television personality, and fashion designer who became one of the most recognizable models of the 1970s and 1980s. Born in Breckenridge, Minnesota, and raised in California, Tiegs began modeling while still a teenager. She gained national attention through magazine advertisements and appeared multiple times on the covers of publications such as Sports Illustrated, Time, and Glamour. Tiegs became especially famous for her appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. One of her best-known images showed her wearing a sheer white fishnet swimsuit, which became an iconic fashion photograph of the era. In addition to modeling, Tiegs developed her own clothing and accessories lines and appeared on television programs, documentaries, and reality shows. She also became involved in environmental causes, health advocacy, and charitable work.
