Walter Koenig - Chekhov - Star Trek

Walter Koenig (born September 14, 1936) is an American actor and writer best known for portraying Pavel Chekov in the original Star Trek television series and several Star Trek films. He later played the recurring villain Alfred Bester on Babylon 5. Koenig has also written novels, comic books and scripts during his long career. He reprised Chekov in all six original-cast Star Trek films and, decades later, returned to voice President Chekov in Star Trek: Picard (2023). His turn as the psychic, morally ambiguous Bester spanned twelve episodes of Babylon 5 and is often cited by fans as one of the show’s most compelling recurring roles. Beyond acting, Koenig wrote for series including Land of the Lost and The Powers of Matthew Star, and penned the screenplay for the 2008 science-fiction thriller InAlienable.
