Harry Dean Stanton

(Deceased) Harry Dean Stanton (born July 14, 1926 – died September 15, 2017) was an American character actor whose distinctive presence made him a memorable figure in film and television for more than six decades. He appeared in such notable films as Cool Hand Luke, Alien, Escape from New York, Repo Man, Paris, Texas, Pretty in Pink, and The Green Mile. Stanton was especially acclaimed for his rare leading role in Paris, Texas and was also known for his work as a musician and singer.
