(Deceased) Steve Allen (December 26, 1921 – October 30, 2000) and Jayne Meadows (September 27, 1919 – April 26, 2015) were a prominent American entertainment couple married from 1954 until Allen’s death. Allen was a comedian, musician, author, and television personality best known as the original host of The Tonight Show. Meadows was an actress known for her work in film, television, and theater, as well as frequent appearances on game shows and programs hosted by her husband. The couple often performed together and remained married for 46 years.
