Connie Selleca - The Greatest American Hero

Connie Sellecca is an American actress, producer, and former model best known for her television work in the late 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Born Concetta Sellecchia on May 25, 1955, in The Bronx, New York, she began her career as a fashion model before moving into acting. Sellecca first gained wide attention as Lisa Benton in the adventure series "The Greatest American Hero," which aired from 1981 to 1983. She starred alongside William Katt and Robert Culp, playing the girlfriend and later wife of reluctant superhero Ralph Hinkley. She became even more closely associated with the television drama "Hotel," which aired from 1983 to 1988. Sellecca played Christine Francis, an executive at San Francisco's elegant St. Gregory Hotel, opposite James Brolin. Her performance earned her a Golden Globe nomination and helped make her one of the recognizable television stars of the 1980s. Sellecca also appeared in numerous television movies and miniseries, including "The Bermuda Depths," "International Airport," and "She’s Dressed to Kill." Later in her career, she continued appearing in television projects while also working as a producer and businesswoman.
