Tom Cruise - Mission: Impossible

Tom Cruise is an American actor and producer who became one of the most successful and recognizable movie stars of his generation. Born Thomas Cruise Mapother IV on July 3, 1962, in Syracuse, New York, he began acting professionally in the early 1980s and quickly emerged as a leading man. Cruise gained widespread attention with "Risky Business" and became an international star with "Top Gun," playing naval aviator Pete "Maverick" Mitchell. He went on to star in major films including "Rain Man," "Born on the Fourth of July," "A Few Good Men," "The Firm," "Interview with the Vampire," "Jerry Maguire," "Eyes Wide Shut," "Minority Report," "The Last Samurai," and "Collateral." He is especially associated with the "Mission: Impossible" film series, in which he portrays IMF agent Ethan Hunt. Cruise has also served as a producer on the franchise and became famous for performing many of his own elaborate and dangerous action stunts. His dramatic performances earned Academy Award nominations for "Born on the Fourth of July," "Jerry Maguire," and "Magnolia." He has also received several Golden Globe Awards during his career. Cruise returned to one of his signature roles in "Top Gun: Maverick" (2022), which became an enormous worldwide box-office success.
