Perry Como

Perry Como (Deceased) was an American singer, television personality, and entertainer whose relaxed vocal style and warm personality made him one of the most popular performers of the 20th century. Born Pierino Ronald Como on May 18, 1912, in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, he began his career singing with big bands before becoming a successful solo recording artist. Como became known for his smooth baritone voice and easygoing delivery. His many hit recordings included "Catch a Falling Star," "Magic Moments," "It's Impossible," "And I Love You So," "Papa Loves Mambo," and "Hot Diggity." He was also a major television star.
