Dixie Echoes and Hal Kennedy.. Abum: Coming on Strong

The Dixie Echoes are an American Southern gospel quartet formed in Pensacola, Florida, in 1960 by gospel singer and promoter J. G. Whitfield. The group became nationally known through appearances on the television program The Gospel Singing Jubilee and for its traditional quartet harmonies, spirituals, hymns, and country-gospel songs. Dale Shelnut later brought the group greater prominence, and his son Randy Shelnut continued its long-running ministry and musical legacy.
