Dick Patterson - Grease

Born April 11, 1929, in Clear Lake, Iowa, Patterson gained important early recognition in musical theater. He replaced Dick Van Dyke in the role of Albert Peterson in the original Broadway production of "Bye Bye Birdie," establishing himself as a talented musical comedy performer. He is especially remembered by movie audiences for playing Mr. Rudie in the hit 1978 musical film "Grease," starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.
