Marjorie Reynolds - Holiday Inn

Marjorie Reynolds (Deceased) was an American actress and dancer best known for her work in classic Hollywood films and for starring opposite Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire in the 1942 musical "Holiday Inn." Born August 12, 1917, in Buhl, Idaho, Reynolds began appearing in films as a child and later developed a successful career as a leading lady during the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. Her role as Linda Mason in "Holiday Inn" remains her most famous screen performance. The film introduced the Irving Berlin song "White Christmas" and became a lasting favorite of American musical cinema. Reynolds appeared in numerous other films, including "The Life of Riley," "Ministry of Fear," and "Up in Mabel's Room." She also worked extensively in television and became especially familiar to audiences through the sitcom "The Life of Riley," in which she portrayed Peg Riley. Marjorie Reynolds died on February 1, 1997, at age 79.
