Florence Henderson (Deceased) Florence Henderson was an American actress and singer best known for portraying Carol Brady on the classic television sitcom The Brady Bunch. She was born on February 14, 1934, in Dale, Indiana. Henderson began her career in musical theater and appeared in Broadway productions including Oklahoma! and Fanny. She also became a frequent television performer and was the first woman to serve as a regular guest host of The Tonight Show. In 1969, Henderson was cast as Carol Brady, the mother of a blended family with six children, on The Brady Bunch. The series ran until 1974 and became one of the most enduring family sitcoms in television history. Henderson later reprised the role in numerous Brady Bunch specials, reunion programs, and spin-offs. She also appeared on many game shows, variety programs, and television series and competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2010. Henderson remained closely associated with The Brady Bunch throughout her life and was widely recognized as one of television’s most famous mothers. Florence Henderson died on November 24, 2016, at age 82, from heart failure.
