Peter Weller - Robocop

Peter Weller Peter Weller is an American actor, director, and educator best known for starring as police officer Alex Murphy in the science-fiction film RoboCop. He was born on June 24, 1947, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Weller trained as an actor and began his career on stage before moving into film and television. He gained early attention in films such as The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension and became internationally recognized for RoboCop in 1987. He reprised the role in RoboCop 2. His other film credits include Naked Lunch, Leviathan, Mighty Aphrodite, and Star Trek Into Darkness. On television, Weller has appeared in series including 24, Dexter, Sons of Anarchy, and Longmire. In addition to acting, Weller has directed numerous television episodes for series such as Sons of Anarchy, Hawaii Five-0, and The Last Ship. Weller also pursued advanced academic studies in art history and earned a doctorate in Italian Renaissance art history.
