Pat Sajak - Wheel of Fortune

Pat Sajak Pat Sajak is an American television personality and game show host best known for his decades-long tenure as the host of Wheel of Fortune. He was born on October 26, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois. Sajak began his broadcasting career in radio and served as a disc jockey for Armed Forces Radio while stationed in Vietnam with the U.S. Army. He later worked in local radio and television, including as a weatherman in Los Angeles. In 1981, Sajak was selected to host the daytime version of Wheel of Fortune. He later became host of the syndicated evening edition alongside Vanna White. His relaxed humor and easy rapport with contestants helped make the program one of the most popular game shows in American television history. Sajak also hosted The Pat Sajak Show, a late-night talk show that aired from 1989 to 1990, and made appearances in various television programs and specials. After more than four decades as host of Wheel of Fortune, Sajak retired from the regular syndicated program in 2024, completing one of the longest hosting runs in television history.
