Roddy Crowell - After All This Time

Rodney Crowell Rodney Crowell is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer known for his influential work in country and Americana music. Born in Houston, Texas, in 1950, Crowell moved to Nashville in the 1970s and became part of Emmylou Harris’s Hot Band. He soon established himself as a successful songwriter, writing songs recorded by artists including Waylon Jennings, the Oak Ridge Boys, Crystal Gayle, and Bob Seger. Crowell developed a successful solo career during the 1980s. His 1988 album Diamonds & Dirt produced five consecutive number-one country singles, including “It’s Such a Small World,” “I Couldn’t Leave You If I Tried,” and “After All This Time.” The latter earned him a Grammy Award. In addition to performing, Crowell has remained highly respected as a songwriter and producer. His work often blends traditional country with rock, folk, and roots influences. Crowell was married to singer Rosanne Cash from 1979 to 1992, and the two collaborated professionally on numerous recordings. Over a career spanning several decades, Crowell has earned multiple Grammy Awards and widespread recognition for both his songwriting and musicianship. He is regarded as an important figure in modern country and Americana music.
