Fabian - North to Alaska

Fabian Fabian Forte, known professionally simply as Fabian, is an American singer and actor who became a major teenage idol during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1943, Fabian was discovered as a teenager and quickly developed a successful recording career. His handsome appearance and energetic performances helped make him especially popular with young audiences during the early rock-and-roll era. Among his best-known recordings are “Turn Me Loose,” “Tiger,” and “Hound Dog Man.” Several of his singles reached the national charts, and he became a frequent performer on television programs such as American Bandstand. Fabian also pursued an acting career, appearing in numerous films and television productions. His movie credits include Hound-Dog Man, North to Alaska, The Longest Day, Ride the Wild Surf, and Fireball 500. He worked alongside major stars including John Wayne, Bing Crosby, and James Stewart. In later years, Fabian continued performing in nostalgia concerts and touring productions, often appearing with other popular entertainers from the early rock-and-roll era.
