Danny Glover - Lethal Weapon

Danny Glover (born July 22, 1946) is an American actor, producer, and activist best known for his roles in major films of the 1980s and 1990s. Born in San Francisco, California, Glover studied at San Francisco State University and later trained in acting at the American Conservatory Theater. He began his career on stage before gaining wider attention in film. Glover received strong critical notice for his performances in Places in the Heart (1984) and The Color Purple (1985). He became internationally famous as Los Angeles police detective Roger Murtaugh opposite Mel Gibson in the Lethal Weapon film series, beginning in 1987. His character’s weary humor and partnership with Gibson became one of the most recognizable action-film pairings of the era. His other notable films include Silverado, Witness, Predator 2, To Sleep with Anger, Angels in the Outfield, Beloved, Dreamgirls, and The Royal Tenenbaums. In addition to acting, Glover has produced films and documentaries and has been involved in humanitarian and social causes throughout his career. He is widely respected for both his dramatic work and his contributions beyond the entertainment industry.
