Gloria Jean - Never Give a Sucker an Even Brea

Gloria Jean (Deceased) (April 14, 1926 – August 31, 2018) was an American actress and singer best known as a child and teenage star of musical films during the 1930s and 1940s. Born Gloria Jean Schoonover in Buffalo, New York, she began singing at an early age and gained attention for her strong soprano voice. She entered motion pictures with Universal Pictures and became known for films that showcased both her acting and singing talents. Her early movies included The Under-Pup (1939), If I Had My Way (1940), A Little Bit of Heaven (1940), and Never Give a Sucker an Even Break (1941), in which she appeared with comedian W.C. Fields. She also starred in several light musicals and comedies throughout the 1940s. As she grew older, Gloria Jean continued appearing in films, although her career gradually shifted away from major studio productions. She later worked in television and made occasional public appearances related to classic Hollywood.
