Brenda Vaccaro - Midnight Cowboy

Brenda Vaccaro (born November 18, 1939) is an American actress known for her distinctive voice and her work in film, television, and theater. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Dallas, Vaccaro studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City. She began her career onstage and earned acclaim for performances in Broadway productions, including Cactus Flower and How Now, Dow Jones. Vaccaro became widely known for her film roles during the 1960s and 1970s. She appeared in Midnight Cowboy, Airport ’77, Capricorn One, and Once Is Not Enough. Her performance in Once Is Not Enough earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She also built a successful television career, appearing in numerous series, television movies, and guest roles. Vaccaro won an Emmy Award for her performance in the television special The Shape of Things. Over the years, she has continued acting in both dramatic and comedic roles and has also performed voice work.
