Brinke Stevens

**Brinke Stevens** (born Charlene Elizabeth Brinkman on September 20, 1954) is an American actress, writer, producer, director, and model best known for her work in horror films. She became a popular “scream queen” during the 1980s after appearing as Linda in *The Slumber Party Massacre* (1982). She went on to act in numerous low-budget and independent horror and science-fiction films, including *Nightmare Sisters*, *Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama*, *Slave Girls from Beyond Infinity*, *Grandmother’s House*, and *Haunting Fear*. Before entering entertainment, Stevens studied marine biology and earned advanced college degrees. She later began modeling and acting while also becoming involved in screenwriting and film production. In addition to her extensive acting career, Stevens has written screenplays, produced independent films, and directed several projects. She has remained active in horror conventions and fan events, where she is well known among collectors of horror memorabilia and autographs. Stevens was formerly married to artist Dave Stevens, the creator of *The Rocketeer*.
