(Deceased) Richard Paul (June 6, 1940 – December 25, 1998) was an American actor best known for playing Mayor Teddy Burnside on the television comedy Carter Country. He appeared frequently in films and television programs, including Murder, She Wrote, The Love Boat, Night Court, and Full House. Paul also portrayed evangelist Jerry Falwell in the film The People vs. Larry Flynt.
