(Deceased) Leslie Nielsen (February 11, 1926 – November 28, 2010) was a Canadian-American actor and comedian known for his deadpan delivery and mastery of parody. After beginning his career in serious dramatic roles, he became a major comedy star through Airplane! and the Police Squad! television series. He is especially remembered as Detective Frank Drebin in The Naked Gun films. His other credits included Forbidden Planet, The Poseidon Adventure, and the Scary Movie series.
