Roger McGuinn - The Byrds

Roger McGuinn (born July 13, 1942) is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist best known as the co-founder and leader of the influential folk-rock band the Byrds. His distinctive 12-string Rickenbacker guitar sound helped define recordings such as “Mr. Tambourine Man,” “Turn! Turn! Turn!” and “So You Want to Be a Rock ’n’ Roll Star.” After the Byrds, McGuinn continued performing and recording as a solo artist.
