The Turtles were an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1965, best known for their upbeat harmonies and humorous stage presence. Led by vocalists Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman, the group recorded several popular songs, including “Happy Together,” “Elenore,” “She’d Rather Be with Me” and “You Showed Me.” After the band disbanded, Kaylan and Volman continued performing together as Flo & Eddie.
