(Deceased) Ray Harryhausen (June 29, 1920–May 7, 2013) was an American visual-effects artist, animator and producer who became a master of stop-motion animation. He created memorable creatures and fantasy sequences for films such as The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, Jason and the Argonauts, One Million Years B.C. and Clash of the Titans. His innovative work influenced generations of filmmakers and special-effects artists.
