(Deceased) Dick Trickle (October 27, 1941 – May 16, 2013) was an American race-car driver who became a legend in Midwestern short-track racing before competing nationally in NASCAR. He won hundreds of races during his career and was named NASCAR Winston Cup Rookie of the Year in 1989 at age 48, making him the oldest driver to receive the honor. Trickle was admired for his skill, colorful personality, and influence on generations of racers.
