(Deceased) Ann Rutherford (born November 2, 1917 – died June 11, 2012) was a Canadian-born American actress best known for portraying Scarlett O’Hara’s sister Carreen in Gone with the Wind and Polly Benedict in the popular Andy Hardy film series starring Mickey Rooney. She also appeared in films such as Pride and Prejudice, Orchestra Wives, and Whistling in the Dark. Rutherford later worked in television and remained a popular figure among fans of classic Hollywood.
