Douglas Fairbanks Jr.

(Deceased) Douglas Fairbanks Jr. (December 9, 1909 – May 7, 2000) was an American actor, producer, and decorated naval officer. The son of silent-film star Douglas Fairbanks, he built a successful career of his own in films including The Prisoner of Zenda, Gunga Din, The Dawn Patrol, and Sinbad the Sailor. During World War II, Fairbanks served with distinction in the United States Navy and was awarded the Silver Star. He later worked in television, theater, and film production and was known for his polished screen presence and adventurous leading-man roles.
