Gary Busey (born June 29, 1944) is an American actor known for his intense, energetic performances in film and television. He received an Academy Award nomination for portraying rock-and-roll pioneer Buddy Holly in The Buddy Holly Story. His other notable films include Lethal Weapon, Point Break, Under Siege, The Firm, Rookie of the Year and Predator 2. Busey has also appeared in numerous television programs and reality shows and is the father of actor Jake Busey.
