John Grisham

John Grisham (born February 8, 1955) is an American novelist, former attorney and former Mississippi legislator best known for his bestselling legal thrillers. His first novel, A Time to Kill, was followed by major successes such as The Firm, The Pelican Brief, The Client, The Rainmaker and The Runaway Jury. Many of his books have been adapted into popular films and television productions. Grisham has also written nonfiction, sports novels and the Theodore Boone series for younger readers, becoming one of the world’s most successful and widely translated authors.
