(Deceased) Jack Klugman (April 27, 1922 – December 24, 2012) was an American actor best known for playing the untidy sportswriter Oscar Madison in the television comedy The Odd Couple, opposite Tony Randall. He also starred as medical examiner Dr. R. Quincy in the long-running crime drama Quincy, M.E. Klugman’s other notable work included 12 Angry Men, Days of Wine and Roses, The Twilight Zone, and the Broadway production of Gypsy. During his career, he won three Primetime Emmy Awards and became one of television’s most recognizable character actors.
