Lily Tomlin

Lily Tomlin (born September 1, 1939) is an American actress, comedian, writer and producer whose career began in stand-up comedy and gained national attention through Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In. She became famous for memorable comic characters such as telephone operator Ernestine and the precocious child Edith Ann. Tomlin’s notable films include Nashville, 9 to 5, The Incredible Shrinking Woman, All of Me, Big Business and Grandma. She also voiced Ms. Frizzle on The Magic School Bus and starred alongside Jane Fonda in the television series Grace and Frankie. Her acclaimed stage work includes The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe.
