Bea Arthur

(Deceased) Bea Arthur (May 13, 1922 – April 25, 2009) was an American actress and comedian best known for her distinctive voice, sharp wit, and commanding screen presence. She starred as Maude Findlay in the television series Maude and later became widely beloved as Dorothy Zbornak on The Golden Girls. Arthur also enjoyed a successful stage career and won a Tony Award for her performance in the musical Mame. Over the course of her career, she received multiple Emmy Awards and became one of television’s most recognizable comedic performers.
