Aldo Ray and Jeff Donnell

(Deceased) Aldo Ray (September 25, 1926 – March 27, 1991) and Jeff Donnell (July 10, 1921 – April 11, 1988) were American actors who were married during the 1950s. Ray was a gravel-voiced leading man best known for portraying soldiers, tough guys and working-class characters in films such as The Marrying Kind, Pat and Mike, Battle Cry, We’re No Angels, Men in War and The Green Berets. Donnell was a versatile film and television actress whose credits included My Sister Eileen, A Night to Remember, In a Lonely Place, The Blue Gardenia and the long-running soap opera General Hospital. The couple married in 1954, but the marriage ended in divorce a few years later.
