Edward G. Robinson

(Deceased) Edward G. Robinson (December 12, 1893 – January 26, 1973) was a Romanian-born American actor best known for portraying tough, intimidating characters in classic Hollywood crime films. He became a major star after playing gangster Caesar Enrico “Rico” Bandello in Little Caesar (1931). His other notable films include Double Indemnity, Key Largo, The Woman in the Window, Scarlet Street, and The Ten Commandments. During a career spanning more than 50 years, Robinson appeared in over 100 films and received an honorary Academy Award shortly after his death.
