Armin Shimerman, born November 5, 1949, is an American actor and writer best known for portraying the Ferengi bartender Quark throughout all seven seasons of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He also appeared in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager and played Principal Snyder on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In addition to his television work, Shimerman has performed extensively in theater and provided the voice of Andrew Ryan in the BioShock video game series.
