Carl Reiner (Deceased; March 20, 1922 – June 29, 2020) was an American actor, comedian, writer, director, and producer whose influential career spanned more than seven decades. He created, produced, and frequently appeared on The Dick Van Dyke Show and was also celebrated for his comedy partnership with Mel Brooks, including their popular 2000 Year Old Man routines. Reiner directed several successful films, including The Jerk, Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid, and All of Me, and earned numerous honors, including multiple Emmy Awards and the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
