Walter Pidgeon (Deceased; September 23, 1897 – September 25, 1984) was a Canadian-American actor and one of Hollywood’s distinguished leading men during its Golden Age. He received Academy Award nominations for Best Actor for Mrs. Miniver and Madame Curie. His other notable films include How Green Was My Valley, Forbidden Planet, The Bad and the Beautiful, Executive Suite, and Funny Girl. Pidgeon also served as president of the Screen Actors Guild from 1952 to 1957.
