Tom Bosley

Tom Bosley was an American actor best known for playing Howard Cunningham, the warm and dependable father affectionately called “Mr. C” on the classic television sitcom *Happy Days*. He appeared throughout the series’ run from 1974 to 1984 and became one of television’s most recognizable father figures. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Bosley served in the United States Navy before beginning his acting career. He achieved early success on Broadway, winning a Tony Award for his portrayal of New York City Mayor Fiorello La Guardia in the musical *Fiorello!* Bosley later portrayed Sheriff Amos Tupper on *Murder, She Wrote* and starred as the title character in *Father Dowling Mysteries*. His career also included numerous film, stage, television and voice-acting roles. Known for his friendly manner, distinctive voice and talent for portraying kindhearted authority figures, Bosley remained active in entertainment for more than five decades.
