Mickey Gilley

(Deceased) Mickey Gilley (March 9, 1936 – May 7, 2022) was an American country singer and pianist known for blending traditional country with pop influences. He scored numerous hits during the 1970s and 1980s, including “Room Full of Roses,” “Stand by Me,” and “You Don’t Know Me.” Gilley was also closely associated with the famous Texas nightclub Gilley’s, which helped inspire the film *Urban Cowboy*.
